We had absolutely beautiful weather for this week's River Day and Jay, Tim, and I (Mark) took full advantage of it. We made a short road trip this week and celebrated River Day a few miles up river from our normal spot, near Mill Creek.
The fishing wasn't very good at this spot, but that didn't stop us from trying. Jay actually caught a couple and Tim caught one; I came up empty handed. Good thing they don't call it "catching".
We had a nice fire going but it was so hot we didn't spend much time near it. You just have to have one while you're at the river; it may even be in the by-laws somewhere.
Of course we had the normal conversations

As usual, this was a great evening on the river at probably my favorite spot on the river. It's hard to imagine how folks who don't celebrate River Day make it through their week!
