River Day 05/23/2011

Even though we've had a few weeks of good weather on Mondays lately, this week it really felt like summer's just around the corner. Even though there was rain all Sunday night, Monday evening turned out great, with clear blue skies and temps around 80. We didn't really need a fire this week, but what's a River Day without one (probably the best on the river anyway).

Ted, Jay, Tim and I (Mark) all made it down this week. We fished for the better part of the evening; well, most of us anyway. Ron was also down this week doing some repairs to the temporary patch on top of the camper. During the rains Sunday night a little water got through, so he was trying to get that sealed up. That brought on some brainstorming on how to take care of the camper issue at the least amount of cost. Time will tell how the planning goes.

Duwan (sp?) has started a new landscaping project, trying to enlarge the flat space he created in his yard last year. Right now it's just a pile of rock and dirt, with a few logs thrown in, but I'm sure that'll be changing over the next few weeks.

A great pre-summer kick-off night at the river.
