We've definitely set a new record for posts this year, and I'm pretty sure I've set a new personal record for attendance for any Rivertarian event - (drumroll) 2. That's right folks, 2.
That said, I was extremely happy to be able to spend time with this great bunch of guys (Jay, Tim and Ted) at Jay's house this week. We were all able to get together with the threat of bad weather looming. Thankfully it waited until the festivities were over before it started. We were under a watch for "severe weather" that could include dangerous thunderstorms, hail, tornadoes, even flying monkeys. Heavy rain and winds were all the actually materialized.
We spent the time sitting on Jay's porch catching up on stories (always a favorite, for me anyway) and generally cutting up. Amazing what a little laughter can do for the soul.
I've truly missed the time we spend together and hopefully will be able to see everyone more often.
So, Happy River Day to everyone. Or whatever you want to call it now.
