River Day was celebrated at a different spot this week - Grandview Sandbar. Trish and I had camped there over the weekend and decided to leave the camper there for Monday/Monday night and just have the holiday there. Tim, Jay, Kevin and Ted joined us at the campsite.
We all tried a little fishing this week (except for Kevin) and this time around it was Tim and Ted catching - one apiece anyway, but at least they caught fish. Jay took Tim's picture with his cell-phone (sorry, I didn't carry my camera down) holding the catfish that he caught. Ted caught a nice small-mouth bass, but we didn't get a shot of it. We're all just glad that Ted got his license this year.
Not too much else go
ing on. We did have a nice fire going, but I'm not sure it would qualify as the best on the river this week. Not because of anything we did, but because of the limitations of the fire "pits" installed in the camp ground. It was a nice sunny evening and it was also nice not having to drive home!
