River Day 12/23/2013 (Christmas Edition)

We celebrated the last River Day before Christmas this week, and we all (Jay, Tim and I) made it down except for Ted.  He had to work at the last minute and missed the annual gift exchange.  Why does work have to keep interfering with river time?
Tim's gloves drying out from a week in the rain.

The weather wasn't bad for this time of year; upper 30's with misty-rain.  We were hopeful a few times that we were going to get a little snow, but we didn't see any of that until we hit the top of the mountain on the way back home.  It was a bit windy early on, which made us appreciate the fire that much more.

We listened traditional Christmas music on the satellite radio most of the time we were there.  Freddy (our "local" visitor) doesn't appreciate our taste in music, but we don't hold that against him.  He did drop in for his weekly chat; I think the weekly River Day celebration has become something he looks forward to, even though he lives at the river.

We made an early day of it this week; early down and early back home, but it was still a great time at the river, and one of the days of the year we look forward to most.

To Rivertarians (and even non-Rivertarians) everywhere, we would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas!
