River Day 10/07/2019

Happy bunch, aren't we?

There was a little excitement about this week's River Day, something we haven't seen for a long while.  No, it wasn't the river, but close - it was rain.

All of West Virginia has been under drought conditions for nearly 2 months.  So much so that the governor of the state had declared a ban on all outdoor burning.  Normally not such a big deal, but with the annual camping trip quickly approaching, it was a major concern.

So the rainfall we got on Monday was much appreciated, and it led to the lifting of the burn ban.  I think all of us breathed a sigh of relief on that one.  A November camping trip without a campfire was something we didn't like thinking about.

Anyway, most of us attended this week's celebration at Jay's house; Tim, Jay (of course), Ted and myself.

There weren't any projects going on this week, but we did get to watch a good bit of some post-season baseball.  It's getting down to the wire.

I only took one pic this week, so enjoy.

Happy River Day!
