Well, despite some colder weather and sleeping conditions, we all survived another of our annual camping trips. Daytime temps were close to 60, dropping to around 30 every night. As you can see in the photos, everyone's sleeping arrangements are varied, with an emphasis on staying warm by whatever means necessary.
We had the usual group this year (Jay, Tim, Ted and Mark) with the addition of Tim's son, Timmy. Jay's son-in-law, Todd, wasn't able to stay this year but he did manage to make a couple of firewood deliveries for us - thanks Todd!
This year we were once again in the area of Lake Sherwood, WV, but couldn't stay at the campground due to it's closure after Labor Day for some mysterious reason. So instead of staying lakeside we camped at a place we've stayed at a couple of times before just before the lake entrance. We refer to it as "the circle". No amenities but lots of space and privacy.
There's no way to describe our daily activities but we always try to record the trip in photos. Below are a good number of pictures that were taken that hopefully convey the feel of the trip.
As always, we ate well, drank a few cold beverages, and tried staying up past 8:00 pm so we didn't wake up at 3:00 am. By the way, we pretty much failed at this part.
