Prayer meeting 6/18/2021

Some of us did get together for a little bit of relaxing on the front porch and a few cold drinks. No pics to display but Tim,Ted, and I did enjoy the afternoon together. Summer weather is in full swing with temps in the 80's and storms seem to come especially when the weather channel doesn't predict it! Good times, and we hope to see Mark next time even though he was busy with Vacation bible week with the kids. Hope you all have a good weekend, and Happy Fathers Day!

River Day 6/14/2021

Hello all! Before I get talking about Monday River day I do want everone to know that we all did get together on 6/11/2021 for Prayer Mtg. So any way back to river day which was held over at Pats for a little bit, cause he needed some help moving furniture. Thank the Lord for the nice high temps and the fact that Pat purchased a trailer that was made for Hamsters!X? Once the moving part was accomplished we relaxed for a while on his back porch.
It was very nice sitting back having a few cold ones, watching birds and listening to the air conditioner. It so reminded me of being home! Any way we finished the afternoon Tim,Ted and myself with a cold one on my front porch. Enjoy the week my freinds.

Prayer Meeting 06/04/2021 and River Day 06/07/2021

Due to laziness on my part, I neglected to make a Prayer Meeting post from last Friday, and a River Day post from Monday.  So I'm combining both events into a single post.

It should come as no surprise that I don't have an accurate weather report from either day, but we hung out on Jay's porch, with shorts and tee shirts being the dress code.  I also don't remember who was there for each evening, but combined, everyone was there: Jay, Tim, Pat, Ted and me.

Everyone has probably already figured this out, but it doesn't take much to amuse us.  Take this basketball for example:

The challenge was to find two images embedded in the logo: an arrow and a spoon.  Find them yet?

So this one was pretty easy, but how about the spoon:

And now you'll never be able to unsee them.  Just a little public service from the Rivertarian Party.

The person who neglected to provide all Rivertarians with the official FedEx basketball tried hiding from the camera, but she deserves recognition too.

(Camouflage failure)

Tim took a couple of photos of our other visitors that he shared.

Always nice seeing the local wildlife.

Two evenings of good times!  Happy River Day!

River Day 05/31/2021 (aka Memorial Day)

Jay, Ted and I had a little River Day/Memorial Day Celebration at Jay's this Monday.  We had nice looking weather, but it was still a little cool - 60's with clear blue skies.

The bear on Jay's workbench looks a bit different than the last set of pictures I posted - he got a new paint job over the weekend (the bear, not Jay) and it turned out pretty nice.  And as you can see in the pictures we decided a little re-enactment was in order.

Next our conversation turned to speculating how heavy the little critter was.  I guessed between 40-50 pounds, while Ted and Jay both estimated 60-70 pounds.  So in true Rivertarian form, Jay retrieved a bathroom scale for the final word.  Check the photos for the results.

This week we had a small visitor who also added his two-cents worth concerning the bear:

It's always nice having Rivertarians-in-training attend meetings on occasion.
