Prayer Meeting 03/19/2021
I feel really bad that I've let River Day catch up to me before making this post - my apologies.
Anyway, Ted, Jay, Tim and I got together for our end-of-week gathering (aka/Prayer Meeting). Even though spring is in the air, we spent the hours in the shop at Jay's house.
Prior to Tim and I arriving Jay and Ted were apparently doing some engineering calculations on the angle of a nearby street, and the ability of Jay's tractor to climb it, especially with a load. I'm not sure what they came up with, but the tractor made the hill climb with about 300 additional pounds loaded in the trailer. From what I gathered, it would have been an easier climb with both gear boxes in 1st, but he did what he could.
There weren't any projects this week, just a lot of laughs and some cold beverages. That said, we did have a couple of interesting comments that were "blog worthy". I'm not offering any explanation to these, just throwing them out there. They have been sanitized where necessary to maintain our family oriented ratings:
"Cause I've got a freezer, @$$hole, so **** you!"
Followed by:
"Listen to this mother ****er"
I'm not going to credit any specific Rivertarian for these outbursts, but suffice it to say it caused a great deal of laughing, even without knowing the context of the comment.
With this kind of language, we may need to rethink our title for the Friday meeting.
Thanks to Ted for adding to the photos again. Much appreciated!

Prayer Meeting 03/12/2021
Sorry for the late post, but there was indeed a Prayer Meeting this week. Just Jay, Ted and I this time around, and it was a relatively short meeting (for me anyway).
We decided on a group selfie for the blog, and to be honest, the pictures all sucked, so I'm posting 2 that suck less than the rest of them.
Oh well, we still had a great afternoon.

River Day 03/08/2021
We had a much warmer River Day this week than we've had for a while. That translated to a lighter jacket and no hat for the walk to Jay's. Spring won't be long in coming now.
We (Tim, Jay, Ted and I) had a nice relaxing afternoon at Jay's shop, mostly discussing the weekend adventures at Tim and Jay's brother's house. Glad all of the siblings could get together and enjoy themselves. Aside from the plumbing issues, looks like the had a nice feast of ribs:
I think everyone brought home a doggy bag, and Jay shared his with us. I didn't eat any of them but from the smell, the lip smacking and the finger licking, they must have been delicious. See what you miss when you have a late lunch?
Not much going on this week, just the usual non-repeatable banter. Much of it non-"rememberable".
Great time as usual. Happy River Day!

Prayer Meeting 03/05/2021
This week's Prayer Meeting was all over the place this time...literally. Jay and Tim were out of town visiting Jill and Lisa's brother. Ted was at his place (with the best fire in Beckley). And I was at home with grandkids.
The Harpers and I had a short Facetime chat, and Ted sent a few pics from the backyard.
This may have been an unorthodox way to hold a Prayer Meeting, but we still managed to connect!
Long live the Rivertarian's!

River Day 03/01/2021
Sorry for the late post this week. I guess I got so excited that we haven't missed any posts of gatherings this year that I almost forgot this one. My bad.
We were all able to get together again for River Day: Ted, Tim, Jay and I. And since it's been 4 days now, I really don't remember what the weather was like. Dry and warm in the shop is about all I can say about that.
All in all a pretty laid back meeting for this Monday; no projects, no one required medical attention. That's always a plus. And if it wasn't for Ted, we wouldn't have any pics (Thanks Ted!).
Anyway, it was River Day, and we were able to enjoy another one.
