Hello all, well Tim, Ted, and me J made it to the Monday river day! Not sure what might have been going with the others but I hope that work wasn't the reason! But some times that is the case. No pics but the three of us did manage to discuss about the fall camping trip. It's never to early to start that topic! Most of the talk was about the fire wood, which only made sense since it was in the mid 80's.
Any ideas about the wood or even changing the meals please speak up! I hope you all have a good week..... Jay

Prayer Meeting 07/24/2020
Everyone made it to the Friday evening get-together this week: Jay, Ted, Tim, Pat and myself. And it was a great time of fellowship and laughter. Not to mention a few cold ones.
I took a couple of pics just for the blog this week, and I've noticed something: we need to start mixing it up a little where we sit every week. I could probably just keep posting the same pics and no one would notice the difference. Occasionally we might get a "hey, that's not what I was wearing last night, was it?" But otherwise we're about as predictable as it gets.
Doesn't matter, we still always have a great time.

River Day 07/13/2020
Jay, Ted and I enjoyed our weekly celebration this go-round on a beautiful summer afternoon. Clear blue skies and temps in the low 80's. I think all of us got off to a later start, so the afternoon went a little later than usual too, especially for Ted.
My fellow Rivertarians helped me with a little muscle this week - moving a desktop from my old house to the new one. I swear the thing must weigh close to 200 pounds, but with the three of us we managed to get it from point A to point B in about 20 minutes. Can't express my gratitude for my friends enough. Thanks guys!

The rest of River Day was spent either on the porch or Jay's shop, where we got involved in several conversations, few of which I actually remember. I do know that we had a great time and a lot of laughs.
I'm adding a couple of more pics that came from one of our conversations - drawings on a notepad. I'm not giving any explanation to these to see if they make any sense at all to our readers.
Enjoy!
These two images are actually the same thing - guess? |

River Day 07/06/2020
We had a nice after-holiday (the other holiday) River Day celebration this week: Tim, Ted, Jay and I got together at Jay's house.
Seems like we've finally settled into summer here in southern West Virginia, with daytime temps in the mid 80's. For the 1st part of the afternoon I was sure we were getting a thunderstorm. You could hear thunder to the southwest. Fortunately, it never got any closer than that, and we never had the first drop of rain.
Not much to comment on this week; it was more of a sitting around catching up on stories kinda afternoon. And I'm pretty sure our conversation would probably have offended about every group in America. Unless you're a Rivertarian that is. Maybe everyone needs to convert (?).
I always enjoy and appreciate spending time with my brothers.
Long live the Rivertarians!
(sorry, no pictures this week)
