So this was the first time since the flooding on Saturday the 13th that we have been able to get down to the river to celebrate the tradition....Schedules have made it difficult to get down for everybody. Jay, Ted, Pat and Tim were able to make it down. We spent the first hour or so engaging in the usual Monday rituals, (that would mean having a few beers, enjoying the fire, talking about kids and family, discussing current events,[politics!] and Jay tried some fishing)
After getting that all figured out, Ron came down and we attempted to move the shed back to its original location. Wow... that turned out to be much more difficult than we thought! We used a chain, a pry bar, a "come-a-long" and a lot of man power to coax the shed back to its original position. Problem, the more we pushed and pulled, the more the shed came apart! End result, we were able to get it close to its original spot but not completely where we wanted it. We were fortunate enough to have some consulting from local engineer and neighbor Dave. (Thanks Dave)
Seems like it might be time to make some decisions about the shed... should it be rebuilt or given up to the "firegod" and replaced ?? Oh well... a topic of discussion no doubt for next Monday night... Hope to see Mark back for that one...
