River Day 02/22/2010

The temperature was nice this week (lower 40's) and most of the snow was gone. Ted, Jay and I (Mark) had a nice, quiet evening, along with the best fire on the river (sorry, no picture of the fire this week).

Since things are warming up and the river has settled back down to a normal level, Jay and I tried a little fishing.

No, we didn't catch anything, but it's always fun trying.

Still lots of firewood laying around since the flood a couple of weeks ago, but all in all, things weren't left in too bad shape after the water receded.

River Day 02/15/2010

Jay, Tim and I (Mark) had a nice, snowy evening at the river this week. It's always neat watching the snow come in across the mountains. Here are a few pictures from the evening.

As usual, we definitely had the best fire on the river:

Here's a little video, just so you get the full effect:

Monday Night February 8th 2010

Tonight Ted, Jay and Tim were able to make it down to celebrate the tradition.... Temperature was cold, stayed in about the mid to upper 20's. We were able to pick up wood down stream.... (the river is usually very kind to deliver wood after the water has risen) Had a nice fire, as you can see by the picture....
Nothing like a cold Monday night by the river, with a nice fire, enjoying some 16 bean soup, having a beer! Gotta love National River Day!!!
